To a dear friend,
We haven’t really talked in a long long while, I mean yes we talked but it’s usually about work and other inconsequential matters. Now, I heard that you would be leaving for good, well what can I say, a simple thank you would not suffice for all the things that you have done for me. You might not know this but if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be where I am today, I’ve changed a lot because of you. The music and laughter that we’ve shared will always be etched in my mind. You know what, I’m really really really sad right now. I’m gonna miss you so much because your presence made me feel secure. You might not believe it, but I depended on you, even if sometimes, ok most of the times you feel irritated because of me but I’m thankful that you are just simply there. Why do these things happen? I’m used to goodbyes but that doesn’t make it any easier. I know I’m not the best or the nicest person around but God must really love me because He gives me friends like you, a nice and beautiful person inside and out. I guess the time has come to say goodbye, even if we will say that we’ll go out sometime, still it wouldn’t be the same. I know that the past few months we haven’t really talked about the happenings in our life, in fact we sort of parted ways, and I wanted to make it up to you, so that the old friendship that we had would still exist, but I guess I could not do that anymore and it makes me feel guilty you know, because I know I should have been a better friend to you and I regret that now. They say that people come into our lives for a reason, they change something within us and let me tell you that you are one of the persons that would make me want to change for the better. Just to clear the air I would like to ask for your forgiveness for all the wrong things that I’ve done to you, you are a great friend, one of the nicest person I’ve known. You are one of the persons that have rewritten my life just by being you and by being my friend.Thank you for the songs, the memories, for your helping hand, and for being my friend. Maybe someday we could sing together again..Thank you my dear friend and God be with you always..
From a thankful friend,

A serious calamity have befallen Cagayan de Oro City, as well as the other towns in Misamis Oriental. This calamity is the flash flood. Usually it happens in one or two days in just one location, but not here in Cagayan de Oro City. It happened 3 times with a 2 or 3 days interval before another flash flood. I personally thought that the flash flood was over on January 3, 2009, however nature have other plans. It happened again and again, last January 11 and 13, 2009. Even today(January 14, 2009) loud whistling and howling of the wind could be heard, even though it has not rained yet. A newly launched provincial website: http://misor.info , the official website of the province of Misamis Oriental have provided information regarding this calamity :
Total Affected Municipalities: 16
Total Affected Cities: 2
Total Affected Barangays: 91
Total Affected Families: 7,221
Total Affected Persons: 37, 166
Total Number of Evacuation Centers: 40
Infrastructure: Partially - 9,700,000
Totally - 5,560,000
Livestock/Livelihood: 515,000
Crops: 35,455,862
Total Estimated Cost of Damage: 51,230,862
With those data, it is obvious that the people of Misamis Oriental needs help. If you want to help, you can visit this website http://misor.info and contact the administrator or go to the Sagip Kapamilya website .

Another year starts..let’s see…I started year 2009 playing DotA,like that’s a surprise since I’m a certified DotA fanatic. I mean playing DotA every Fridays and Saturdays with my friends or my so-called DotAmates at BigBozz, (that’s in Pabayo-Hayes). What I can’t figure out is why I love playing dota. Could it be because it’s a team game? Or perhaps you have to use your strategic skills(if you have any that is) to annihilate your enemy? Well, like I said, I don’t know, I just simply love playing it. Anyhow, here’s a list of my favorite DotA heroes:
1) Purist Thunderwrath/OmniKnight

He was an apprentice of Uther the Lightbringer, and he joined the Sentinels so that he could avenge the death of Uther, the former leader of the Order of the Silver Hand. His abilities are Purification,Repel,Degen Aura and Guardian Angel.
2) Lord of Avernus/Abaddon

A former Paladin that fell into the darkness and a Death Knight of the Lich King. His abilities are Death Coil, Aphotic Shield, Frostmourne and Borrowed Time.
3) Aiushtha/Enchantress

One of Cenarius’ daughters, they say that she is his first daughter and his favorite. Her Abilities are Untouchable, Enchant, Nature’s Attendants and Impetus.

I was just getting over my “Twilight” obsession when I discovered another vampire themed book series. It’s the Vampire Academy book series by Richelle Mead. I just finished reading the first three installments of the series( Vampire Academy-book 1, Frostbite-book 2 and Shadow Kiss-book 3). This book series’ story centers around the life of Rose Hathaway. Rose is not your ordinary vampire, in fact in the story she is called a Damphir. A damphir is a half-human and half-moroi(a good vampire). Damphirs are like humans, they can stay in the sun without getting burned but with the super senses and speed of a vampire( think Wesley Snipes as Blade) and this is why Damphirs make the perfect bodyguards for the moroi against Strigoi(the vampires of our nightmare). See morois are good vampires, they have magic, by magic meaning, they can wield earth, fire, water or air, they can take a little amount of sunlight but they also drink blood but they only take it from willing humans and those humans are called feeders, and contrary to general belief those feeders don’t turn into vampires in this series, instead when a moroi feeds off them, the vampire’s fangs actually shoots some endorphin into their system making them enjoy the experience, this is why feeders are always available. Anyway, Rose is the guardian for Lissa, a Moroi Princess and also her best friend. But they are not your typical guardian and moroi kinda thing because Rose and Lissa shares a psychic link-a psychic bond where Rose can see, feel and hear what Lissa is seeing, feeling and hearing.
In the first book, Lissa and Rose were brought back to the Vampire Academy after they ran away and hid from the vampire world for two years, because they found out that Lissa’s power is one of a kind and a very rare kind of magic and there are people who wants to abuse the power that she has. What she can wield in a powerful kind of way is the power of the spirit, an element that was way beyond the knowledge of the vampire world since it’s a rare and powerful kind of magic. With spirit Lissa can heal anything and bring back the dead, and the first person Lissa brought back was Rose, that is why they have that psychic bond. When they returned to the academy, Rose were given extra lesson by a guardian, one of the best guardian named Dimitri and Dimitri is a mysterious, smart and one hot guardian, and of course Rose fell for him but it is a forbidden love since Dimitri is a teacher and he was also assigned to be Lissa’s guardian. This means that Lissa must come first before them and if they get involved then they would have a difficult time in protecting Lissa since they would now be worried about one another.
What I love about this series is how Richelle Mead made Rose a strong and independent girl but still a vulnerable girl. A girl who has no idea what is happening to her and her best friend but still continues to protect Lissa. I also loved the love story between Dimitri and Rose, what they have is a one of a kind love but faces many hurdles and difficulties, when I say difficulties, I mean the very worst kind of difficulties.it certainly was very unpredictable. With this kind of plot, I was hooked as soon as I finished reading the first installment and I can’t wait for the fourth book to come out on August 2009, which is titled “Blood Promise”.

There are so many things that I want to do. I want to go in a Carribean cruise by myself, swim with dolphins, buy a house for my mom, head my own company and many more. However, those things are just for me. Pretty selfish huh? Which should not be the case. And so, I added another thing on my to do list and that is to change the world. What a difficult thing to do, but not impossible. That being said, I want to help change the world in my own little ways. Our world is now facing difficult and life threating problems and as a human being, what can I do to help? Well, to start off, I did what I do best and that is to search the internet on how I would be able to help. Then I came across this site change.org, it is a website that one can see and join several causes that they want to. There are so many causes and some of these are Stop Genocide, End Homelessness, Stop Global Warming, Immigration, Peace in the Middle East and many more.
I Joined the Stop Genocide cause ( you can see my page here http://www.change.org/profiles/fairyprincess), it’s the first cause that I joined. Genocide is an ugly reality, one cannot fathom why a human being can do that to other human beings. To help stop that ugly reality, I joined that cause. I am also standing up against poverty. Poverty is one of the foremost problems that several countries have been facing right now, especially here in Asia. I am one of those lucky people who still have a secure home to live in, a secure job that can help me meet my basic needs. So, having that priviledge, I want to stand up against poverty to help eradicate poverty. Perhaps one day, and hopefully it will be sooner than later that Genocide and Poverty will no longer be a problem for a our world.
If you want to join the causes that I’ve mentioned please visit change.org. In fact, I am inviting you to please join and help promote awareness about the problems that our world is facing. We live in this world and it’s high time that we protect it and it’s inhabitants.

Hey Everyone,
After reading the comments of my readers, I believe that I will dedicate a page for chorale groups here in Northern Mindanao. As one of the readers commented, my exposure might be limited, I think when it comes to chorale groups here in Northern Mindanao, well yes, perhaps my exposure is limited, because I did not think he counted the San Miguel Chorale, UP Madrigal Singers, UP Singing Ambassadors, UE Chorale, Philippine Madrigal Singers, Loboc Children’s Choir, not to mention the international Chorale groups that I’ve heard when I attended concerts in California, Boston, Seattle, Hong Kong, Bangkok, China and other places. But then again, the chorale groups that I’ve heard that are from Northern Mindanao are CU Glee Club, XU Glee Club, Mary Immaculate Singing Ambassadors, LDCU Glee Club(Gclef) and Yahweh’s Choirs. This is Why, to all those belonging to a chorale groups here in Northern Mindanao, can you leave on the comment area of this article the schedule of your concerts, competitions and other singing engagements that will enable me to see your group perform live? The purpose of this is to promote the chorale groups from Northern Mindanao. You see, I love music and I especially appreciate chorale music. Hopefully, with your help my exposure in Northern Mindanao Chorale groups will no longer be limited. Hope to hear from you soon!!!
Chorale music fan,
